The PADI Discover Scuba
Diving program lets you experience the thrill of diving under the
supervision of a qualified PADI Instructor in ideal conditions, in
open water. On this course you'll master some basic concepts and
scuba skills before heading out for an open-water

take you as deep as 12 meters/40 feet! The 'Discover Scuba Diving'
experience is a great way to get a head start on your PADI

On this course you'll learn the rudiments of scuba
diving, including dive equipment and diving techniques. You will

As a certificated PADI Open-water Diver
you'll have the freedom to dive with a chum independent of a

The PADI Adventures In-Diving program
consists of five open-water dives. The first 3 dives, on Day 1, are
all about buoyancy. If you haven't been diving for a while, this
will give you the chance to get back into the water in a relaxing
way. On the other hand, if you've been out diving recently, this is
a chance to learn new buoyancy skills. EVERYONE can improve their
natural buoyancy, and you'll be up against your Instructor on these
dives! On Day 2 we will concentrate on deeper diving. On these dives
you will learn and grasp the importance of good planning and safety

Dive master
The PADI Divemaster programme
is the first rung on the leadership ladder in the PADI System of
diver education. This qualification designates you as someone
who:
Has a high level of personal diving
skill.
Has instructor-level knowledge of diving
theory.
Has had substantial training in how to
assist an instructor during training activities.
Is able to assume appropriate
responsibilities that benefit the general welfare of other
divers.
To qualify for PADI
Divemaster training, you'll need to:
Be certificated as a PADI Advanced
Open-Water Diver or hold a qualifying
certification
from an equivalent training organization.
Be certificated as a PADI Rescue Diver or
hold a qualifying certification from an equivalent training
organization.
Have logged a minimum of 20 open-water
dives prior to entry into PADI Divemaster training, and
completed and logged a
minimum of 60 open-water dives (with
suitable experience in deep-sea diving and deep-sea
navigation) prior to certification as a
PADI Divemaster.
Be at least 18 years old.
Be in good physical
condition for diving and be able to produce, on request, a
medical certificate, signed by a physician, prior to
any in-water activities.
At the time of
certification, have 'current' training in CPR. ('Current', in
this context, means that the CPR training has not expired as
defined by the CPR training
organization).
At the time of certification, have
'current' training in First Aid.
Note:
If the
candidate doesn't hold a PADI Rescue Diver certification, he
must have first aid training that has not expired as defined
by the first aid training organization.
As a PADI Divemaster, you'll
be qualified to:
Act as a certificated instructional
assistant to PADI Instructors.
Supervise course participants on PADI
experience programmes for uncertificated divers.
Generally supervise both training (and
non-training) related diving activities by planning,
organizing and directing dives.
Teach and issue training certificates to
PADI Skin Divers
Conduct the PADI Scuba Review programme for
certificated divers.
Conduct the Skin Diving Skills segment of
the PADI Open-water Diver course, under the direction of a
PADI Instructor.
